Data controller
Simone Cascioli, Via Bari 40, Foggia (FG), VAT no. 04595480718. For any request about your data, write to info@simonecascioli.it.
What data I process
Browsing data: when you visit the site, the servers hosting it automatically log your IP address, browser type, date and time and the page requested. I don't use it to identify or profile you.
Data you send me: if you email me, I process your address and whatever you choose to tell me in the message.
Why, and on what basis
Browsing data is needed to serve the site and protect it from abuse: the basis is my legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Email data is used to reply to you and, if needed, to prepare a quote: the basis is steps taken at your request before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Giving it is optional, but without it I can't reply.
Cookies
The site uses no cookies or other tracking tools, mine or anyone else's, and loads no content from other sites. That is why there is no banner.
The links to GitHub, LinkedIn and Instagram lead to external sites, which have their own privacy notices.
Who receives the data
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (United States), which processes browsing data on my behalf as a data processor. The transfer to the United States is covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which Vercel has joined, and by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Emails go through my email provider. I don't sell or hand your data to anyone.
How long
Browsing data stays in the hosting logs for the technical period set by Vercel, usually a few days.
I keep emails for as long as it takes to handle your request and, if we then work together, for the length of that relationship and the legal obligations that follow from it.
Your rights
You can ask me at any time to access, correct or delete your data, restrict its processing, receive it in a portable format or object to its processing (Arts. 15-22 GDPR) by writing to info@simonecascioli.it.
If you think the processing breaches the GDPR, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
