The context
Many of Farmacia Fontana's customers are elderly: they have to remember which medicines to take and when, and a relative often helps from afar. The pharmacy wanted to look after them away from the counter too.
What I built
I designed and built the app. Patients hold the phone to the blister's NFC tag and see their therapy straight away, mark each dose with one tap and get reminders. They can book services, see offers and let a relative follow their therapy. The pharmacy runs it all from its own panel.
How it went
The app is not on the stores yet: testing starts with 10 pilot patients.
Technical deep dive
It reads the NFC tags on the blister pack. If the phone cannot read them, the code printed on the label works too.
Designed for older people: large text, high contrast, big buttons and the therapy read aloud.
Flutter with Firebase: Firestore, Cloud Functions for therapies and reminders, push notifications.
A panel for the pharmacy manages patients' therapies, appointments, offers and events.
