The context
Investigators analysed conversations by hand, jumping between messy CSV and Excel files. Working out who wrote what, and when, took hours for every analysis.
What I built
On my own I built software that reads those files and shows the conversations the way a messaging app does, weaving the different sources into a single timeline.
How it went
Work that used to take hours now takes a few minutes. The software is still in use.
Technical deep dive
A Flutter desktop app that runs entirely offline: for privacy reasons the data never leaves the computer it is analysed on.
It imports different CSV and Excel exports and merges them, per contact, into one conversation ordered in time.
